Bringing to fore the feud in the Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party, its leader Gulabchand Kataria on Saturday night called off his 'Lok Jagran Yatra' following differences at a core committee meeting which saw Leader of the Opposition Vasundhara Raje threatening to quit the party and walking out the meeting in a huff.
As the feud in Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party intensified, over 43 Members of Legislative Assembly who are loyal to sulking leader Vasundhara Raje on Sunday offered to resign, but the party played down the crisis and her threat to quit the organisation. A day after Raje threatened to leave the BJP over state leader Gulabchand Kataria's proposed political campaign, her aide claimed that 43 MLAs, including 2 independents, submitted their resignation to Raje.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday claimed that the crisis in its Rajasthan unit had blown over and indicated that the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly Vasundhara Raje is the undisputed head of the party there.
